Okay, St. Louis made the top five...so if you became a fan, could you go back and vote in the poll now? http://www.facebook.com/JenniferWei ner?v=box_3&viewas=664322264
I can't believe I'm going to all this effort when the chance that our shop would get her (behind the chains and an indie that's been around for 30 years) is not great. HOWEVER, that other indie is known to turn its nose up at chick lit (although I can't say that in my proposal), so maybe we have a shot.

I know I haven't posted here forever...please forgive. If you wouldn't mind becoming a temporary fan of Jennifer Weiner on Facebook here today: http://www.facebook.com/JenniferWeiner and then voting for St. Louis to be the final recipient of her tour stop, so I could then try desperately to be the hosting bookstore for said stop, that would be made of freaking AWESOME.
Just trying to remind myself, in this time of 2 1/2 year old sleep regression/extreme returned separation anxiety/toddler defiance, that it really is more sunshine than rain.
I mean, just LOOK at her.
I mean, just LOOK at her.
Laurie Halse Anderson's coming to the bookstore (which half of you don't know about, probably, bec. I don't think I've posted about it) on Monday for a last minute stock signing. It's specifically for WINTERGIRLS (see my blog review here), but we're getting copies of pretty much anything. Anyone want a signed book? I don't think I can get them at a discount, because we're ordering them last minute (we just found out about the signing an hour ago), but I can get them personalized and I can get them signed and mail them to you! We're ordering first thing in the morning, so you'd need to let me know tonight (and the sooner the better).
Okay, I'm trying to mail holiday cards and I can't find some addresses/need to check some addresses. If you're on the list below, can you please email me your address (mposten at gmail dot com)?

And on this one, she was allowed to discover candy.
(That's lollipop mouth right there. The lollipop? Pretty much the CENTER OF MOLLY'S UNIVERSE now.)
She made it up and down both sides of our street before saying "Home now!". She said "trick or treat" or at least "tak you" at every house. Watching her try to pick candy out of a bowl was hilarious since she had no idea what any of it was. Also, she wanted to open each piece as she got it so she COULD see what it was.
Mom-Mom and Poppie were waiting at home, so that's why she was eager to get back. But 15-20 houses for a 2 year old? Not too bad.

Time moves too fast some days.
This pretty much sums up this period of time with the Mol.
(And she wasn't even annoyed with me when I took this.)

How the hell?
She's lifting UglyWorm over her head.
Where did she come from, this giant child? How did this happen?

Molly knows at least the end of every line of The Going To Bed Book, which we recite from memory in this video.
see you from one hotel or another.
Our home phone is back, so if you need to contact us, it's all good until tomorrow now.
Pictures like this are breaking my heart.
I cannot spend the next month (as I have the last eleven) continually reassuring people about our move. Why do I have to be the one to make other people feel better? Why am I not the one who gets to be made to feel better? I'm the one that's moving - all of these people will still have each other and I will be out there with just my little family. Is that a lot? Of course. But I am leaving behind my friends. My mom. My grandmother. My job. THIS IS A BIG FUCKING DEAL AND I AM TIRED OF MAKING OTHER PEOPLE FEEL BETTER ABOUT IT.
Jesus.
Jesus.
...I'm going to have to learn to crochet just so I can make this for Molly. She is OBSESSED with Foofa.
